At Tecniman we supply water hoses, used in agricultural, gardening or industrial applications. Water hoses can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar and temperatures of up to 100 ºC.

Non-toxic hoses that meet the relevant regulations for use in industries related to human and animal consumption. Water hoses are characterised by their flexibility and ease of handling when used in domestic, gardening and other applications.

In addition, models specialised for transporting dirty water, washdown and similar work are characterised by a smooth bore that prevents sediment from settling.

Industrial water hose: suction, lay-flat and irrigation

An industrial water hose carries clean water or wastewater in irrigation, construction, cleaning and pumping. There are three main families: suction hoses, with a rigid helix for suction and delivery with a pump; lay-flat hoses, which roll up flat and take little space; and flexible hoses with polyester braid, for irrigation and cleaning.

The rigid helix, in PVC or steel, stops the hose collapsing under the pump's vacuum.

Lay-flat and flexible hoses

For delivery there are lay-flat hoses in PVC (Plana TM, from 25 to 204 mm, for agricultural irrigation) and in rubber: Black lay-flat, for industry, agriculture and construction; Synthetic lay-flat, for fire hose cabinets; and Red lay-flat, for fire-fighting and dewatering pumps. In EPDM rubber there are the Grooved 6 bar and 10 bar hoses and Baldeo-15 for cleaning with hot water. For irrigation and boating, PVC hoses with polyester braid and an anti-twist layer: Tricogold, Ecosilver and Espirnautic; for construction sites, Aquaobra Plus and Spirobil.

Frequently asked questions about water hoses

What is a suction hose?

It is a hose with a rigid helix that does not collapse under pump suction. A lay-flat hose, by contrast, only works on delivery.

Which water hose withstands hot water?

The smooth PTFE hose with EPDM cover reaches +150 °C and Baldeo-15 +120 °C; Water suction 10 bar and the Grooved hoses, up to +100 °C. PVC hoses are designed for a maximum of +60 °C.

Which hoses are suitable for food liquids?

Spring and Reinforced Spring (regulations EC 1935/2004 and EU 10/2011), Crystal, EVA reinforced crystal and Garden, among others. Transfor and Superelastic Transfor are not for food use.

Why does the pressure drop on larger diameters?

The larger the diameter, the lower the working pressure. Reinforced Spring takes 9 bar up to 45 mm and 2.5 bar at 152 mm; check each product's table.

Which hose should I use for slurry or wastewater?

Transfor, Superelastic Transfor or Water suction 10 bar, in rubber. For fixed drains, PVC drainage.
