At Tecniman we supply silicone hoses for food use, intended for transporting liquid or semi-liquid food products that require high temperature resistance. Silicone hoses for food use are used when a high degree of aseptic quality is required.

The range includes three translucent silicone hoses and one PVC cleaning hose:

  • Reinforced SIL: FDA silicone, platinum- or peroxide-cured, reinforced with polyester thread and a stainless steel spiral. Inside diameters from 6 to 102 mm.
  • Meshed SIL: the same FDA silicone, reinforced with polyester thread only. Inside diameters from 4 to 31 mm.
  • SIL extruded: extruded non-toxic silicone without reinforcement, compliant with FDA and BfR. Inside diameters from 1 to 35 mm.
  • Tecniclean: blue PVC hose with textile reinforcement and smooth surfaces, for hot water and sanitising in the food industry (12 mm inside diameter).

The three food-grade silicone hoses work from -60 ºC to +200 ºC. To choose, consider diameter and reinforcement: the stainless spiral version for large bores, the meshed hose for small and medium sizes, and the unreinforced extruded hose from 1 mm inside diameter. Reinforced SIL and Meshed SIL are supplied in lengths with free ends or fitted with stainless CLAMP, SMS, DIN11851 or GAS couplings.
