Steam hoses

At Tecniman we supply hoses for both saturated and superheated steam. Steam hoses withstand pressures of up to 17 bar and temperatures of up to 232 ºC.

We have steam hoses specialised for every type of use in the relevant industry. You can consult one of our specialist advisers to get the sizes, diameters and hoses you need for the job and the applicable FDA and EU regulations.

The category includes three EPDM rubber hoses made on a mandrel with high tenacity textile reinforcement:

  • Steam-232: red cover and additional spiral steel wire reinforcement; saturated steam up to +210 ºC and superheated steam up to +232 ºC, 17 bar, BS 5342-2A standard. From 13 to 102 mm.
  • Steam-170: black, for saturated steam, from -40 ºC to +170 ºC and 7 bar, BS5122 1986 A2 standard. From 13 to 76 mm.
  • Steam-170 food grade: non-toxic white EPDM interior and blue cover, FDA compliant, from -40 ºC to +164 ºC and 6 bar working pressure. From 13 to 76 mm.

To choose, start from the type of steam and temperature: superheated steam requires Steam-232, and contact with food calls for the food grade version.
