At Tecniman we supply hoses for low pressure hydraulic applications, used for conveying hydraulic fluids, mineral oils or hydrocarbons. Low pressure hydraulic hoses are used for any application that does not require high working pressures.

The three hoses in this category have an oil-resistant black synthetic rubber inner tube and differ in their outer cover:

  • Steel braided hose: galvanised steel mesh cover. Inside diameters from 5 to 50 mm, from 25 bar working pressure in small sizes to 6 bar in large ones.
  • Automotive hose: high tenacity textile braid cover. Inside diameters from 3 to 12 mm, from 20 to 10 bar working pressure.
  • Hose EN-854 2TE: oil, abrasion and weather resistant synthetic rubber cover with textile braid reinforcement. Sizes from 1/4″ to 1″ (6 to 25 mm), compliant with EN854.

To choose, compare the inside diameter and the working pressure shown on each product page, which falls as the diameter increases. The steel braided and automotive hoses work from -20 ºC to +90 ºC; the EN-854 2TE from -40 ºC to +100 ºC (up to +125 ºC in intermittent use).
